Principal’s Welcome

Welcome to Ennistymon Community School.

We were established on 1st September 2023 as a result of the amalgamation of the three post-primary schools in the town; Ennistymon Vocational School (LCETB), Christian Brothers School (ERST) and Scoil Mhuire (CEIST). This amalgamation was a momentous occasion as it was the first time in the history of the town that all children were educated together and in April 2024, we decanted all students and staff from the three former school buildings into one new state-of-the-art building on the Lahinch road.

Our recently established school has our students’ best interests at the centre of what we do. We are delighted in our first few years to offer a very broad curriculum, very high academic standards, an exceptional range of extra-curricular activities, including a widely acclaimed and successful school musical in 2024, robotics/coding/IT activities and a huge array of sporting activities (with great success) to suit all students’ interests. We have something to offer every child and greatly respect the values and interests of all in our school community.

We have a very established and strong Student Support and Additional Educational Needs teams with extensive expertise and experience. We are here to support your child as they progress through their post-primary Education. As a community school, we pride ourselves in being an integral part of the local community and are proud of the community links we have made with our local tidy towns, our local choral society, the local county council, the men’s shed and the many others in our town that we have ongoing collaborations with.

We are so very proud of the positive culture and learning experiences we are continuing to build at Ennistymon Community School.
